One of the first things that you should do is make sure you get the IPMI IP address and MAC address. The IPMICFG.EXE that one can see above is the tool that we will use. With ServiiGo, you can browse and stream all the media stored on the Serviio server to your Android device. ServiiGo uses Serviio Pro’s built-in new API, which also works over the Internet. Since we have physical access to this machine, we are using a DOS LiveCD to do the IPMI Password reset. This completes the installation of Serviio. Reboot the system: sudo rebootĪfter restarting, type the following address in the address bar of your browser: Here you can make settings, create users, add your favorite audio, video, image files. The administrative console is very clear and easy to use, available in several languages. We can try the Pro version for 15 days, after which we can continue to use the free version. You may want to consider purchasing a license.Īfter the settings, the Serviio Media Server is available on the network from a browser at the following address: The login screen: Serviio login Save the file with, then use to exit the editor.Įnable Serviio Service: sudo systemctl daemon-reload We then need to create a service to ensure that Serviio starts when the machine restarts. Type the following command to create a file named rvice in the system services directory: sudo nano /lib/systemd/system/rviceĮnter the following few lines in the editor: Īfter=syslog.target local-fs.target network.targetĮxecStop=/opt/serviio/bin/serviio.sh -stop You can delete the downloaded installation file: sudo rm Take root ownership of the Serviio files. Navigate to the opt directory where you will install Serviio cd /optĭownload the Serviio software: sudo wget Īnd unpack: sudo tar zxvf Ĭreate a symbolic link to the Serviio directory: sudo ln -s serviio-2.1 serviio Then install the dependencies: sudo apt-get install net-tools software-properties-common openjdk-8-jre default-jre ffmpeg dcraw wget Ideal for Smart Home, Mosquitto, ioBrokers or media servers.įirst upgrade the system: sudo apt-get update Serviio 192.168.10.9 random port sends notify to 239.255.255.250 1900 UDP port, but also 192.168.13.255 1900 UDP port (vlan4) (looking from different vlan than serviio)īut, really I don't understand why, the serviio "icon" is not available in any devices of different vlans, because the NOTIFY process is present in other vlans.Mini Computer with AMD Ryzen 7 3750H Processor, 16G DDR4 RAM/500GB M.2 NVME 2280 SSD,4K FPS/Dual HDMI+Type-C/WiFi 5/BT4.0/Support Auto Power On Serviio (192.168.10.9) send the notify from random port to 239.255.255.250 1900 UPD port (looking inside same vlan of serviio) I use these configs and scripts and wireshark to trace packets inside my network, I can see that serviio sends from random port to 1900 port the notify, even between diferent vlans. I understand that upnp can't have multi-cast process for different vlans, In my case other users, with my current router config and scripts, can have broadcast in other vlans but using chromecast only. Hope can you help me with these questions. Is there any way to change the ports configurations of serviio to, for example, use UDP 8895 port instead TCP port ? Is necessary broadcast using TCP 8895 port to have serviio working in client devices ? (all devices in same subnet) If I use in practice only UDP 1900 port, can serviio will be avaliable in my smart-tv ? (all devices in same subnet) My question is regarding the ports used in serviio, like wiki says are: UPD 1900, TCP 884 for WEB console. In same vlan, for example lan1, all devices can see and use serviio (like always did in my prior network). I'm using Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite and only have igmp-proxy, mdns, and bcast-relay script to broadcast udp packages to other vlans, many users says that other services like chromecast (that uses 1900 udp port) are available for other vlans using these tools in router (igmp-proxy, mdns, bcast-relay), but in my case I can't have any success. Unfortunately this cause that server vlan (lan1) can't broadcast SERVIIO to other vlans (vlan4 for smart-tv). I actually read, and learn, more of dlna services.Ĭurrently I'm using a NAS4FREE server with SERVIIO in a jail, I upgrade my network configuration and I'm using vlans to improve performance.
